Q: What is WASC?

A: WASC stands for Western Association of Colleges and Schools. It is a regional division of the ACS (Accrediting Commission of Schools), which accredits K-12 schools and not-for-profit, non-degree granting post-secondary institutions. Calaveras High School is in the final year of our six-year accreditation process. Between April 22 and 25, a team of WASC representatives will be at CHS to meet students and staff, observe classrooms, and learn about our community. Click HERE to learn more about WASC.

Q: How can I be involved?

A: In the fall, students, parents, staff, and community members participated in a survey for our school. Upcoming dates to be involved in writing our self-study: November 15th School Site Council, January 26th from 1:30-3:30 PM during Co-Planning, February 9th from 1:30-3:30 PM during Co-Planning.
